When we started the adoption process, we joined our DTC Month's yahoo group. It was there that a couple living in Colorado noticed that we planned to name our new baby Mary Austin. They also had a list of names one of which was Mary Austin - not your most common name to say the least! They emailed us off line and over the course of exchanges we realized that her husband and I are VERY distantly related. We have tons in common and they even went to college here in Alabama, he grew up in South Alabama and his college roommate grew up with Tripp. Can you hear the strains of "Its a Small World"? We are excited to say that Mary Austin in deed has Chinese cousins - yes plural as Keith and Michelle matched with identical twins! Michelle, Lily (whose middle name is Austin) and Megan came to visit and spend the night before traveling south this week! We had a blast!
First we played in the sprinkler. They left 6 inches of snow at home!
Then Jane gave some love to Jenny!
Then we got cleaned up and changed into our princess outfits. We walked up to one of the neighborhood restaurants for dinner. We were a sight with 3 Chinese princesses in tow!
Good Friends! Mary Austin said "momma, I really like playing with Lily and Megan because they dress up and look like me!"
