What a difference a few hours can make...

I dropped the girls off at school and went to work. Nothing out of the ordinary - just a regular day. See some patients, talk to some parents on the phone, etc.. Then at 4 pm the phone call from school. Julie H.? Yes. Jane has had "little accident". She cut her forehead and we have stopped the bleeding but she may need stiches. I'm on my way!! Fortunately they attend the United Cerebral Palsy's Early Learning Program. A fabulous school where not only developmentally challenged children can go to but also "model" children. When Mary Austin first started she was considered "at risk" and had a full eval (in addition to the one she had at our IAC) and recieved PT for low trunk tone (no core muscle strength).

Poor Jane Harris looked as if she had been in a blood bath! Those head lacs can really bleed! She is now the proud recipent of 4 tinsy tiny stiches to her forehead. As you can tell from the picture (since it is blurry) they have not slowed her down!
