Mommy, are we preppy?

A conversation with Mary Austin:

Mae: "Mommy what is preppy and is it bad?"

Me: "Preppy just means a style. Like your ball gowns are princess style and your dress that you have on now is preppy. It is not a bad thing. It is a good thing."

Mae: "oh, so I want to be preppy?"

Me: "you already are preppy. Why are you asking me this?"

Mae: "my teacher told me I was a preppy, peppy princess"

Me: "And she is correct."
